BB wins Gold
Great news, BB has won a gold award in the Electronic toy category at the Practical Pre-school magazine awards in the UK today beating off competition from Vtech and Leapfrog products. I’m just delighted – For a UK organisation to recognise the quality and practicality of our Irish version of BB is just fantastic. It’s like a movie getting 5 stars or a student getting an A+.

It’s getting exciting now…
It’s getting exciting now with talks of the prototype going into production asap, the launch of the website and the chances that Bábógbaby is set to launch it’s first toy in late October, the “BB” Teddy just might feature on RTE’S Late Late Toy Show in late November and will be on the shelves of shops in time for the Christmas. Ryan Tubridy loves Irish products and likes the language too.

Burning the midnight oil for my Business
In between working on TV dramas, feature films and short films, I did a “start your own business” course at Westbic Innovation Centre, Galway a Business Management course run by the Galway City and County Enterprise Board and it was there that I developed a strategy for the business and the world’s first Irish speaking toy from Bábógbaby, the Irish speaking teddy “BB”, the animation series BB agus Bella in Beartown and merchandise for both.

Galway TD supports Bábógbaby idea
Galway TD and neighbour Michael D Higgins encourages the idea of creating a tool to help the Irish language agreeing that getting children to learn Irish as early as possible will help them with the learning the language in school. That’s very encouraging.
